Best bet, no matter whether you part-ex or sell private, is to return the bike to standard. You can offer the parts as part of a private sale either for free or for additional cost; part-ex, dealers prefer a standard bike in which case you flog all the bling on here. As for price...I got £6300 part ex for a 2014 non-abs HRC coloured blade in June 2019 ....then probably about another £1100 quid on bling sales (can, levers, seat cowl, carbon crap etc. etc.) GLWS
I was thinking to change my 2016 black edition (<5k mies) for a new MT09 SP a few months back and was offered 7200 but the dealer said if i was in no rush to advertise for 8750 with an expectation to get 8250
I would agree with @Boothman on the values. The prices really do seem to have gone up and then stabilised there.
Funny as I know lots don’t rate it , never had a problem with it ever , the one time I ever needed it , some old gimmer pulled out of a strawberry field in front of me . Had to jump on brakes as hard as I could and it deffo worked lol , wouldn’t normally try that ever again
