Hello,Just wondering if anyone has any tips for removing the wheelie control on a bog standard 2019 fireblade. I have three settings 1,2 and 3 but no zero. Anybody got any tips on how to get more lift ? All that happens when the wheel leaves the tarmac for a split second the traction control light flashes like I'm being told off and nothing really happens. Do I have to really snap the throttle open and trust the electronics ? Do I need a bigger pair of balls ? Happy to accept the criticism if it helps convert me.... My old 2007 Fireblade would power wheelie out of second like a dream but those days are gone forever ! Any help / advice would be great Thank you Mike
Hello Mike, just saw your entry. I had a 2018 version it sounds like yours is the same model. Under the T option and its on no 1 press the down button and it should show a zero. I thought they had included more options in the display for keeping the traction control off ongoing. Other than that the method I spoke about won't survive the ignition cycle. If you switch off and on then alter the traction control again. There are a few things I don't like about post 2016 models. I think models up to 2016 are better road sportsbikes. If you are a more of a regular track user then the 2017 onwards may be spot on. Or the sp could, may be ok, they may have traction control adjustments?
Hi Mike. I ride a 2018SP. To adjust the torque control on mine, when the TC is flashing on mode 1, keep your finger on the down button for a couple of seconds and a zero appears. I'm assuming your wheelie control function would be the same, but bear in mind my 2018 has torque control and wheelie control built into the same function, whereas your 2019 will have separate functions. Good Luck!!!
