Experimenting... 2017 new shape Blade. At the front I've got the forks set to use about 3/4 of the travel and the rebound is set to "just" hold the spring on the return stroke. Compression is currently set mid way on the adjustment, I'll see how it feels. Previously it was washing out big time, understeer, in a corner so I think the rebound was too slow??? New setting for rebound is 1.5 turns OUT from full in. So for the rear..... What sag are you guys starting with?
This was previously posted Hi Folks, These are Dave Moss (Dave Moss Tuning) suspension settings for a 2018 bike which rides superbly well with these settings dialled in. I am around 14st 9lbs - 15 st with full riding gear. Here we go if you fancy tinkering: Front Forks Preload all the way out counter clockwise until they stop, then turn back in 5 turns clockwise. Turn TEN all the way clockwise until they stop, then turn counter clockwise 3.75 turns.Turn COM all the way clockwise until they stop, then turn counter clockwise 4.5 turns. Rear Shock Increase the shock preload by setting the preload adjuster to setting number 5. Turn COM all the way clockwise and come back 2 turns counter-clockwise. Turn rebound all the way clockwise and count back 1.75 turns. Possibly a starting point. Don’t be afraid to adjust, but do it gradually.
Do you know what suspension is on that bike? I'm guessing it's either Showa BPF SFF or Ohlins depending on whether it's a regular or SP bike?
It stated non SP , so it would of been ohlins. Worth checking Dave Moss YouTube. You might get some knowledge for set up.
