    Hi,

    Have owned my Repsol since new 2015 - only done near 1400 miles, and service myself..

    had a thought about using an after market oil filter…any thoughts or shall I get original Honda…?

    Another vote for hi flo - used their oil filters a few times and fitted one of their air filters this year.

    I’ve used hi flo for years, no oem company makes their own filters, they’re all supplied by outside companies and probably by hi flo.

    Honda filters are made In China , just saying o_O ,,,,,, I still use them.
    You will never know with is the best unles you run two identical engine's for 10,000 miles with different filters then do a full stip down and measure everything to compare :D just saying .
    The most important thing is regular oil/filter changes

    @Selmer50mark

    Mark , you panicked me there matey, just bought 2 Honda filters last week, panicked enough to get off my sunbed and into the garage, both Purflux filters made in France, yep not sure what’s worse, French or Chinese, that’s right spoilt my lazy afternoon

    Lol sorry Cliff, yes I've had the French ones but the last I bought from local Honda dealer was made in China, but it did come with handy filter wrench. Back to the sunbed matey :D;)

    I think honda switched to purflux over 3 years ago.
    I saw it on the one I had bought from SBS and chalanged them that is was a fake! They were very accomodating and gave me a refund on the year+ old purchase:). They no longer sell "honda OEM" filter for the bike.

    I since discovered that yes purflux is now the honda OEM filter much to my embarrasment:oops:.
    Is this your first oil + filter change?:eek:
    For the cost difference, I would get OEM but hiflo is a decent alternative
