    Hi Everyone,

Looking for some tank grip recommmendations for my 2011 blade (its 2012 plate but its 2011 model repsol).

I have read threads and google major brands and I think I will go for Eazi grip clear one’s. Dont think black will look good on repsol paint work.

Now the confusion is what is the difference between Evo and Pro? What I can understand is Evo would be more aggressive/grippier but what about Pro I seem to like their design but if there are advantages for Evo I will go for it.

Also what is the difference between Race and Road version? Just the extra bit for black plastic part below tank?

Also how is Tech spec? Anyone tried these?

    Thanks
    Rhythm

I was also asking the same thing (in my head tho) a couple weeks ago. So I just bought the RG branded clear eazi-grips. They work well if you remember to grip (yeah it’s a habit I have to learn). The only issue I have with them is that the edges tend to lift overnight and need pressing down again.

I've put on Eazi-Grip Pro (Clear) on my Blade, use bike on road and track. Looks good and very grippy without damaging your leathers.
Top tip is to give the area a good clean and apply with a hair dryer, I've never had any peeling at the edges.

I've had Eazi Grips on my 2018 i had a couple of years ago. They're ok but i did get a little bit of lifting around the edges. They also started to go a bit yellow after a while to. Evo and Pro differ from one being a finer nobbly bits like mine and the other being bigger nobbly bits. They're a slightly harder rubber than say Stomp grips which are a bit more Gel like. I've got Stomp grips on my Panigale now just because the area coverage was better positioned. Both do the job but having now tried Stomp grips I'd go for them again!

I washed the bike, then used isopropyl to clean the tank, then used the alcohol wipes they provided. THEN I heated the tank and the grips not with a hairdryer, but with a proper heat gun.
Maybe mine were a dud batch.

The lifting is obvious on the black plastic part of the tank, but there are some hard to see places on the white part also that I need to keep pressing down.

I think the main reason they're lifting on the black infill panels is because the surface is nobbly, you're never going to get proper adhesion on that like you will on painted surfaces.

The adhesive is quite strong on the Eazi Grips and I followed the instructions properly, used hair dryer though (heat is heat right?) I still think the edges are more likely to lift than Stomp grips though.

You can use the Adhesion Promoter that Stompgrip sells to help with the edges. Looks like it is actually 3M 94 Primer

I have the 'EVO' on my R1, they have a larger domes for more grip but less damaging to my leathers than my Stompgrips :)

The adhesive on Eazi Grips is slightly different from stomps. Its like a hard film, if your not careful it can actually peel off while you're peeling the backing off that's what I experienced anyway!

Not sure if you could use that adhesion promoter on Eazis but I definitely had no problems with stomps!

Thanks for the suggestion guys, I have ordered an EVO Racing kit (with second piece for black part) from Eazi Grip.
