    Evening all,

Andy - new member in London. Had a 2018 blade that was sadly stolen a while back but have now replaced with a beautiful* 1996 one.

Looking forward to picking peoples brains about mods/fixes it’ll no doubt need (want an original spec clear screen for a start).

*yet to ride it as currently stored till I get secure parking sorted at mine

    thanks
    Andy

Yeah - a$$holes. Hope they break their necks. It was doubly painful as was insured by MCE and took 10 months to get my insurance payout

Beautiful bikes. Have you made any changes to yours? I’d like to keep as original as poss but have a feeling the shock/forks will need replacing (or at least reconditioning). Is there anything else off the top of your head I should be looking at?

i had an NC30 before my last blade and swapped in a Micron shock and Tyga exhaust which was great.

Not really done much to it , tail tidy, new stainless headers and regular services.
Checked the valve shims @36,000 all in tolerance and recently greased the rear suspension.
    Just over 40,000 now

Did you keep the 16” front?

looks like it in the pic. Have seen VFR 17”s fit and obvs more rubber choice but 16 fine in your opinion?

    My Ducati 748's front is a 120/60 rather than a 120/70 o_O
Luckily there's still some fast rubber available but choice is still limited. No wonder peeps feel pressure to change wheels on the older bikes. At least with the 748 you can fit 70 profile without changing the wheel which is was most people do.

Interesting. I’m actually considering using the rest of my insurance money to get a 748 as well

Nice. But I'd recommend older Ducati's only if you can do the servicing yourself (and that means belt changes too). Otherwise it gets expensive fast.
