So I've bought new chain and sprockets 15:42, and I've also fitted a 06 rear shock and linkage to my 05 Blade and in all my excitement with getting the bike, servicing it and sorting it into my track bike I bought a 200/60 rear tyre.

Now, with a 114 link chain I have about 5mm between my tyre and the rear shock linkage, will that be enough or should I run 116 links?

Also thinking I can get a 190/55 tyre cheap enough already scrubbed in to run 114 links if that's the better option.......I'll take some photos tomorrow. Thanks in advance

I would want more clearance than that, with tyre growth through heat etc, I’d want around 15mm personally, I’ve run a 60 profile on my rsv with the same problem and fitted an extra link.

Thanks Warren, I've got with 116 links for now. I think it was the right move as I don't have a lot of space between the tyre and hugger and I can't get the hugger off. Looking forward to riding her at Odiham in April now though
