OK understand....I'm sure if it had a stronger title it would of got more viewers for the initial series, but media are all over it at the moment praising it .
I was initially put off by the title, seemed it might be like Heartbeat- which I didn't watch either...but now getting into it. Excellent so far.
Aye lass. But you wait till you see what's over the border..Tis more than mortal eyes can take (in Yorkyshire accent) Folks 'ere call it Civilisation.
We’ve just started watching Happy Valley in the last few days. Up to episode 3, series 2 at present. Really enjoying it although it makes me feel old. I used to think Sarah Lancashire was easy on the eye in her Corrie days, that was some time ago now. Talking of old. Only dawned on me today that two of the cast members had a leading role in ‘Rita, Sue and Bob Too’. Now there’s a very funny film. Not recommended if you’re easily offended, it’s of its time I suppose. Well worth a watch IMO.
Glad you enjoyed it Kevin! I stumbled across another film last night on Netflix.......Riding High! Now I was a massive Eddie kidd fan when I was a child, saw him in a stunt show in Wales when we were on holiday, had the Eddie Kidd annual book which I just looked at the pictures and thought wow!!! However I was only about 5 or 6 years old so never saw the film at the time and didn't really know what it was called. I just remember the picture of the huge gap jump across the disused railway bridge! Anyway, watched it last night and while I expected it to be really bad it was actually quite good and Eddie did not disappoint!! Legend Me in 1984 on my Puch Magnum X 50cc!!
Brilliant film.........funny quote from the film when the pissed up Dad says "what fuckin cookery money""!! He comes out with some belters him!!
Currently watching LAST OF US on Sky Atlantic but have been bingeing Wednesday, The Rig and The Last Kingdom on Netflix and Yellowstone on Paramount+. Getting more entertainment on YT with 44TEETH, Obsession Engineering, Project Binky (Obsession Motorsport) and The Dog House.
Yellowstone on Paramount is a brilliant series, modern day western staring Kevin Costner, I believe it's the most watched TV series in the US.
