Hi everyone, Looking for more advice please! Going for my first ever track day (well 5 days) in Almeria in April and i need to sort out insurance. I know they offer it and i think it's done on a daily basis but can't currently find how much it is. What or who do you guys use as i hope to be back out in Spain again later in the year so was thinking it might be cheaper to get an annual policy than doing the daily thing with Focused Events. Appreciate any guidance. Mike
I generally don’t do insurance unless it’s a legal requirement or just plain makes sense for my circumstances.
If you join a group called "Trackday addicts" on Facebook there is lots of info regarding insurance required for European trackdays. Having done a search it looks as though most people use the insurance offered by Focussed Events. Those that organise their own insurance use Assureton - Formula 2 Option. I have only done UK trackdays but have had to give it a rest at the moment due to costs.
I’ve used Allianz for the last few years at Almeria. Cheapest I’ve found and confirmed with them that non competitive track days are covered. https://www.allianz-assistance.co.uk/
