Very well explained for me as nn expert on mechanic and etc and I really appreciate your explanation again. I saw in some of Facebook ducati group they wrap the exhaust with some kind of thermal blanket and they said solbe most the problem about the heating under the seat. I heard what you said about 2 cilinders but I wss afraid it was just for L and nit the V2
I’m not entirely sure what you are saying, but as far as I know, the V2 engine is also called an L2. Indeed, anything with a 90 degree v-twin from Ducati can conceivably be called an L-twin but I don’t think there’s any difference between those engines and the 90 degree v-twin that was in the Honda SP-1 I had.
Try not to get too hung up about the underseat heat from the exhaust, whether you opt for V2 or V4 its going yo be a testi boiling experience but its really a small price to pay for getting ride a Ducati! One way to look at this is.......do you want children in the future? If not then.....carry on regardless! For me.....I have four children already so I really don't mind the heat! I'm hoping its already rendered me infertile!!
I’ve commuted twice this week on the bike and it’s been bloody freezing. Beginning to think I’ve dropped a clanger, sounds like a Panigale might make an excellent winter commuter with all that heat under the seat keeping you toasty. Have often looked at them and thought they’d look better with bar muffs and a top box, Ducati missed a trick there IMO
1299 would be my bet, last of the 2 cylinder engines , ironed out all the 1199 problems , I've got a panigale R and it's been faultless in the 4 years I've had it, had more problems with my 08 fireblade.
HAHAHAHHAH Just my thought, I am not a warm person, and maybe this will be a good feature for me ahhahah
I got it, but I would like to pick a brand new one and the 1299 is not being developing anymore because of this I am running into a V2, and perhaps after couple of years change for a V4
Cool I bought my blade close to you In Swindon but I live in Surbiton, maybe someday in summertime we can ride in a group will be nice
This weekend I went to Ducati croydon to ask about the Duc V2 but looks like they are out of stock and they will have anothers just on may, that's ok for me because i still need to sell my one first, but even that I am getting excited to have the new V2
Hey guys, long time without post anything Last month I finally sold my bike for a good deal and after a long wait this saturday i finally bought my first duc, a brand new Panigale V2 and I am anxious to have it because they will deliver to me just in the end of this month. Sad 'case my blade is gone but happy with my new red baby. Cheers
Congrats dude. Will be good to see pics, and hear back if it lives up to expectations! For sure it will be a different experience.
