Has anybody here touched up their swing arm? And if so what paint did you use? I was going to get carbon covers but decided that I'd need a carbon chain cover and hugger and probably get the frame covers too, then I thought it would look a bit too overkill and like the frame or swing arm was damaged and all just to cover a few wee stone chips. I could get my mate to paint It but I'd need to remove it probably for the best result so have decided to try touching up first.
    Cheers Colin

Hey. Seen some YouTube videos where they use a product called 'TremClad. US videos it must be added, and it seems to blend in well. Will need to sand down the area, and blend in.

TremClad seems to be a matt black paint, but with some rust inhibitors.

A decent can of Satin black would work.

Cheers mate but I'm just wondering if there is an actual colour code for it as I'm just wanting to touch up stone chips before I go down the remove it and paint it route.

I was looking for the same thing and best I could find was a Honda paint code:

    Nh461m temple Black

Not 100% certain this is exact match for swing arm as I could never find any touchup paint in that colour for a reasonable price.

If you manage it would be interested to see some pics...

That's the colour code I've found on a few other threads that I've seen but I can't find a supplier that lists it as an actual colour, I'm off work today and going to have a wee phone around and see if I can get a wee touch up pot mixed up so I'll let you know how I get on

Not suggesting this but just a thought, would it be possible to sand back down to bare metal. Wouldn’t need a full strip down to achieve that look would it?

I've ordered a touch up and lacquer from rs paints but it was £31 including delivery, might get my mate to do it though he's a spray painter and does detailing so I'm guessing he'll make a better job of it than me

I would probably have just removed the swingarm and got my mate to strip it and paint it but I didn't want the hassle although once I've £uc&ed up the touch up I'll probably end up down that route
