Hi All, just took delivery of my first Fireblade. Looking forward to getting into it. So far so good.
Thanks for all the welcomes everyone much appreciated. Couple of things I’m looking into already. 1: According to the previous owner (from new) the exhaust has been fitted as is. No power commander or ECU work. Should I be looking at sorting the fuelling out? I’m actually think about reinstalling the original exhaust. 2: I was thinking about installing braided brake lines but it looks like I need to remove the full ABS system. Is that a good move anyway?
Hey. 1. Should be okay without a re-map, however it is better to get it remapped. Or put the stock exhaust back on, which is not that bad anyway. 2. You can install braided lines on your bike without removing ABS. However, as documented on this forum, the ABS on this model has a major fault from factory. It's better to remove the ABS. Others will be able to give you better details.
Hi Saqib, Thanks for the advise. I think I’m going to go with the standard exhaust and remove the ABS. So no doubt they’ll be a lot of question coming I would hate to be coming up to a bend and go for the brakes and zip happen, Thanks again for your help.
Definitely get rid of the abs, mine could of been really bad..so much so I've sold mine..I couldn't trust it ever again regardless.. superb machines though..enjoy
