Hi guys n girls. Just a quick note to say hi. Just getting back after a couple of years away from 2 wheels. I've just acquired what was meant to be the bargain of the year. My newely purchased RR4 has 30k serviced miles 8 months ticket , good tyres and chain and Is in pretty good condition ( although grubby from being left outside uncovered for the last 12 months ). All for the grand total of a thousand pound. I'm new to Honda following a succession of other brands and on first impressions I'm really happy with things. The only downer is a small issue with it already. Is it the afore mentioned bargain or a pig in disguise... ......only time will tell. Thanks for having me aboard.
Hi and welcome, for a grand I'd say you've had a bargain, providing the small issue doesn't turn into a big one!! Even then you're still quids in!!
The starter relay is getting hot and smoking with the ignition turned off. Il drop a help question on the page later. Thanks for the replys. It good to be aboard
I'd start with a big electrical clean of plugs, earth points and switches. Don't leave it with the battery connected until you've solved it.
Worth that in parts. The wheels alone are worth a third of that. This guy has some engine parts in a frame going spare. https://www.facebook.com/groups/trackdayaddicts/posts/7073880179294605/
Thanks all. Its good to be aboard. Ive posted a thread named 'should it earth'. My electrics have fried the starter relay. Any thoughts would be amazing
