Do you keep it on a trickle charger? Does it have a tracker/alarm?

    Best to get a voltmeter.

You should see 12.4V with engine off, and 13.5-14.0 V with engine running (or holding revs a little above idle).

If you see less than 12.4V with engine off, then likely you have a duff battery. If you don't see the right voltage with engine running, then its a charging issue.

If both are okay, they you could have a duff cell in the battery.

    Hope that helps!

doesn't 21 model come with LFP battery? If so, the voltage shoul stay above 13.3v even after 2 weeks of non use. Because of their low capacity, they drain very quickly.

If it is AGM, then 12.8 for reliable starting winter or summer.
your charging voltage with the bike running@ 5k should be around 14.4v, less than 15v

Hi buddy , yes it's a LFP battery, I get the feeling I'm leaving the ignition on somehow and going back to the bike 20 mins later and it's dead, think it's pilot error.

The RR-R has a voltmeter built in to the dash. You can choose to display it as one of the pieces of information on the standard layout.

Twist the outer ring on the starter button to turn the bike off. When off, turn and hold to engage the steering lock. Never use the kill switch to turn the engine off, unless it is an emergency.

I think this might be where I'm going wrong, I've only used the kill switch thus far, didn't even know you could turn it off any other way , doh
    Appreciate the heads up

I called into bmw last week, they said they stopped using datatool because of this vert reason...causing lots and lots of problems...they suggested ripping it out free of charge, but I'm might just buy an optimiser that fits...
