Hi all Anyone know of a good route planner (other than getting an actual map out ) to plan a route to somewhere in UK for good routes that avoids motorways/main A roads? Cheers Mike
I've used Calimoto which is quite good. But £50 per year if you want all the features. You can use Google maps, and under options select 'avoid motorways'.
Could try asking on here as chances are there will be people who know the roads you would go on. Problem I find with most routing software is that it doesn't take the type of bike into account. You end up going down single track lanes that are fine on an adventure bike but not fun on a sportsbike.
Completely agree. On the FireBlade, those B roads and country roads are pointless and not much fun. Much prefer faster A-roads where I could stretch its legs
B roads and country lanes are way more fun than busy A roads I do my best to avoid any 'fast' roads as country lanes are certainly more challenging if you want to ride fast try and find a dual carriageway or motorway without cameras
