have a racefit growler on my2012 1000rr got it with the bike I took the baffle out and my mate said it’s stupid loud and didn’t sound nice at all almost like it’s to loud someone even said it the other day when we had a race with a caterham. I put the baffle In and it just doesn’t sound good enough. What other exhaust do other people recommend ? I’ve seen people love akra but also seen arrows ?
Racefit are always going to be loud, I’ve two racefit long can systems on bikes and they’re still loud, sound is always subjective as to what one person likes to another and I would probably say go to a big bike meeting somewhere and you’ll probably see an s1000 with various models of system fitted and ask if you can listen to them.
Yeah I do like the noise like the bark etc but people say it’s to loud where it doesn’t sound nice. But apparently Akra and yoshi are best for proven power gains ? Don’t know how racefit comes into power gains or even loss apprently doing by some forums
Akrapovic and most of the major brands have all been dyno proven where racefit to me is more about style, I haven’t seen or even looked for dyno figures on them to prove otherwise though, personally I’d go akrapovic.
I would probably go with SC project - https://shop.sc-project.com/en-EE/121_H04A-12C-Oval-Muffler.htm i initially order that one, but manufacturing time was around month and i cancelled and got leo vince 8445 instead
Personally I’d stick with the racefit as looks and sounds so much better than anything else you’ll put on, besides, if you like it? It doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks. As for the power gains you’ll only find 10bhp with an akra or anything else to that matter as the bike you have is only in or around 170/178 at the wheel without any engine work so not really worth worrying about
Got an Akra on mine, I’d recommend them, but not personally tried anything else on the blade to compare it to.
If you're after that Style of exhaust.......I had an Arrow Gp Pro on my 2018. Really well made, nice deep but crisp sound and comes with a baffle.
