Just had a quote of £81.00 for 2 x spare key blanks OEM.

Has anyone had any success with eBay blanks with transponders? I'm leaning towards the OEM but if I can save some money it would be nice.

I have a single working key from a Datatool S4 alarm which I have now removed, I've inherited the bike from my dad who has now hung up his leathers he had owned the bike from new and didn't add any other spare keys, so as far as I know I should be good to go for adding a couple once I buy or make a lead.

Hi, I think there is some more info on this site about it but I bought mine from ebay, I bought blanks and had them cut locally, the transponders came separate and i just siliconed into the slot, it all programmed as per youtube vid
the hardest bit was removing the fairing, also from memory the plug to connect the shorting lead into was in a slightly different place, the lead I made myself. it is just a bit of wire with a 100k resistor
I was quoted £150 for 1 key from a dealer but this was programmed

I’ve just paid £35 for an eBay key that looks as good as oem with Honda logo, I sent them my key code and the key came cut, I made up a wire following the YouTube hiss vids and coded it in no probs and now I have 2 coded working keys
