    Congratulations on the new bike.

I think it is a Clutch Slave Cylinder, probably good that it has been replaced with an after market jobbie - I think the OE ones were a bit weak and cold leak after a time.

    Or Doc Martens !

There are some effective "urban" style jackets and jeans around from all the manufacturers - maybe that is the look. Mind you people might think you have just stolen it if you ride round in an "urban jacket" that looks like a hoodie :D

I had one of those for six months. I liked it but it was very single use, good fun for the right conditions though. I did find the front end pretty flighty but I guess that that was to be expected.

The orange thing is the clutch slave cylinder. If you have any problems then fit an oberon and it'll work forever and make the clutch a bit lighter. If you have any problems getting it in to neutral then you can fit a bigger clutch oil jet but it made no difference to mine and I just got used to leaving it in 1st or killing the engine to get it in to neutral.

I traded it in against a 1290 superduke gen 1 which actually wasn't a better bike by any stretch. That was a very very flighty bike and even after fitting a steering damper it was still a handful and still way worse than the 950. I then traded that against an aprilia v4 tuono aprc which was everything I was after in the first place and a brilliant bike until it was written off two days after I bought by some prick rear ending me. C'est la vie.
