I currently have a "cheap" oval aftermarket end can fitted to my 2004 cbr1000rr, it sound's good and looks smart, the previous owner didn't change the exhaust but did have a power commander fitted.
Should I have it dyno'd / fit a Yoshimura or Scorpion can to improve the power output? Or is it not going to do anything?

If the previous owner has put a power commander on surely it's already running a map on it? Check and see what's loaded, might already be a custom map or something from the library he considered to be similar?

A branded exhaust isn't guaranteed to give you any more power, might even give you less. Either way it won't be anything significant. If you like the look and sound of what you have, theres a map in the PC and its running fine then I'd leave it be.

It all depends on what you are after improving, top end power or removing flat spots lower down, if you load the dynojet software onto your computer and plug into your module you will be able to see the map, if you have flat spots try to remember revs and rough throttle position and increase the fueling in that area of the map and see if it improves, or as mentioned if it rides ok chances are it has the map for the can or similar
