Took the Blade out for the first time this year. Started on the button. Got about 5 miles out, Kwak over took me and went straight into the back of a Discovery. Guy in middle of road. Called ambulance, is he breathing? Yes. Is he awake? Yes but he can't move. OK be there in 90 mins. WTF! Single female police officer arrived in a couple of minutes, blocked road as some drivers were still trying to get round the guy in the road and the shattered bike. She called someone, paramedic arrived in 5. He got on phone and more or less told them it's either an ambulance now or I get the helicopter. Ambulance arrived in 10. Guy got taken away. Made me think about my speed and just cos it's sunny and warmer not to take chances. Stay safe out there.
Yep, it's the same every year... after 5 months of being cooped up, the sportsbike adrenalin is a little too much to handle for some. Sobering stuff. Go safe & steady everyone!
Your bikes in bits that often these days you'll be lucky if there is a 'first ride out this year" Which reminds me.........did you join that Vintage Honda Club??
I've asked if he fancies his chances at Oulton Park before........he said he'll just come and watch!!
Hope he recovers well and I hope your ok bladey. There's been a few near my house over the years that have put me off for periods of time.
Let us know if you book it and me and @Selmer50mark will come and hold a big shop window for you to admire yourself in at Druids so you feel at home and hopefully relax and keep up with Charlie
