Hi all Is there any one out there that has any information spring rates on the TTX , I got a brand new shock imported from the States and they said they puy the correct spring on for my weight ,I weigh 165lbs + leathers etc ,the spring they have installed for me is a 110NM , My friend purchased the same shock here in England he weighs in at 205lbs + his gear , they also sprung it for his weight and put the same 110NM spring on it , my question is have i got the correct spring fitted for my weight:smile:
Hi and thanks , Its nice to know things are right ,trying to find out about correct spring rate versus weight is a task an half , not much info about Thanks again
Hi mate i paid £765 which included postage , then i had to pay on top of that just short of £200 import duty and vat before i could have it delivered
Have you had the shock fitted yet? Top piece of equipment, your going to be impressed. PM me with your feedback once you got it fitted and tested, thanks. It was standard fit on my Ducati 1098R
Hi mate had it fitted a good few weeks now , the bike now feels transformed , but that was not before i had booked the bike into Kais Suspension Services Ltd at Manchester , I took it over to them and dealt with a guy called Nick White , he asked me what type of riding i did and set about my bike , A really top guy explained everything about the setup he had applied to my bike and how and where i might need to adjust slighty if i took it on a track day , all in all a really top service and a great set of guys there. I have ridden the bike hard since having it set up and the bike is confidence insipiring and doesnt give you any moments that you some times get when you have gone a little to far or hard with it , really happy with it
Hi, these are the spring weights from Brookes suspension site, they should be the same whatever shock you use, I weigh 72kg unkitted and have 9n on the front and 100n on the rear, these are great on the bumpy roads I use, I go at a good sports pace and they soak up the road bumps well, but if I went faster or used the brakes hard I would need to up the rates as I am using a lot of the travel
