Im going to remove the Datatool S4 C1 Red alarm from my 2006 Fireblade . Any advice would be helpfull . Thanks
I'm looking to remove mine aswell, reason why is that it's alot of hassle, you have to deactivate it every time you want to start the bike and if you want to move the bike of the stand for anything work wise or cleaning you'll need to put it in ferry mode, which is only a few presses of the buttons but personally Its a big hassle for me

Hi, I know this is an old thread but I'm in the process of removing a Datatool S4 C1 Red alarm from my bike also. I've PM'd you Kev.
I had one on the R1 it was a pain until I put a switch with a permanent live to it whilst out, I never leave my bike. As soon as you disarm you flick the switch and no more auto rearms until you get home and put it away, BLISS no more bleating at the petrol station
I've unplugged the datatool and am trying to work out which wires to blank off (trying lots of different combinations). I've got very close. I can get everything working (e.g ignition, lights etc) and even the engine turning over, just doesn't start. So I'm guessing no power to spark plugs. I can see so many guides online for which wires to blank off for other datatools but not the s4 c1 red.
just trace all the wires into the main loom from the alarm and then cut 1 wire a time and solder the original coloured wire back into the loom and heat shrink them . job done .
That's a bit scary for me. I can't properly trace them without taking the bike to bits I wish I knew which pins to connect to just get it working. A bit more trial and error needed I think.
yes I had to do that on a 04 blade to remove one of these but its worth the pain of taking fairing off and tracing the connections into the loom , and once done you wont have any issues .
The s4 green is plugged under the rear seat , the red might be the same connector. You need to remove the rear plastic section to get to it , also there's a connector to a sensor under the seat . This was on my 07 .
I have now located this and a plug is coming today for the immobilser disabling. Is the sensor to be disconnected too? I just want theS4 to be disabled totally - it has stopped working (internal battery) and massively drains my battery. Thanks, David
I did disconnect it to remove the whole unit, the red might be different. I didn't need a immobiliser plug when I removed it , but as I say the s4 red might be slightly different
