    Hi can anyone confirm:

    1. Are my bobbins supposed to turn freely on standard discs? (If yes mine are seized)

    2. What size are the bobbins as the discs are in great condition and I'd like to replace them.

    Many thanks.

Normally easy enough to free up with a bit of lube, ohhh baby, a decent size nut and bolt and a couple of penny washers.

As to whether or not that should move all my bijes had moveable ones. if you are getting vibration under braking then you almost certainly have ones that should be free to rotate.

Yeah everything else has been serviced but I an still getting a vibration when I'm almost at a standstill pulling up to a stop.

    It's bloody annoying and squeaks.

I tried the "bung a nut and bolt through it" and turn it method this morning and destroyed the thread on the bolt so they are proper seized.

I sprayed some lube over them this morning and will allow that to soak in (obvs I'll thoroughly clean the disc before riding)

Maybe I'll try an M10 bolt instead of the M8 then and see how that goes.

Yes same as you, every other bike I've had they do spin freely, I was beginning to wonder if Honda discs were spec'd differently

By the sounds of it mate, it’s too late, normally by the time you feel what you’ve described, they are already warped? Common issue on this bike unfortunately. I’ve commuted on all my blades and even with the bolt/bobbin maintenance, never got more than 10k out of a set

    Bloody shame if they are.

There isn't even a lip on the discs yet.

I'll give it one more go then and if a no go I best get saving for some new discs. Ollocks!

A small battery impact gun backwards and forwards can free stubborn bobbins.
Think I have the ebc and the bobbins are not round. Check all the pistons are free as this can cause pulsing as the disk distorts around it.

I'll recheck the pistons, good idea, I've not long had them apart and new pads fitted. The pistons were working well.

    The squeak remained!
