Sorry been offline for a while guys, all 3 laptops in the house decided to go haywire within a week of each other, and my iphone packed up. As for the shakedown, went ok, out of the racebikes in our group, Bladerosa was the only bike to have no issues, unlike its rider! Think i bit of a bit more than i can chew for the first time out post op, new bike, new circuit, and unknown physical condition, anglsey international has 2 or 3 huge breaking areas, and shoulder simply wasnt up to it, i bimbled round in the inters so to enable me to get a good gauge on the bike i sent my mate Gaz Evans out on it, he usually races a 202bhp BMW S1000RR with all the trick gear on it, he went out in the fast group and instantly went faster than he had previously, and was dicing with Ian Mackman 7 a couple of other TSGB front runners, even with 20bhp more they couldnt live with the blade in the bends and once it was set up there simply wasnt anything on track throughout the 2 days quicker through the bends. What i can tell you though is... Sigma slipper clutches are the greatest thing known to mankind, that coupled with the brembo & lines meant little old me could barrell into corners far to hot and i knew i would make it through. Ktec make the best front ends in the buisness, no argument, this one 'only' has a piston kit, springs & oil and still feels a GAZILLION times better than the maxton on my just departed RR7. In all 3 lads rode the blade during the course of the weekend and they all commented on the front end (once i got a setup dialled into it). The HO888 Ohlins shock doesnt just look stunning, it works as good as it looks. Never have i had the pleasure of riding on such a plush rear shock. Akropovic systems on full chat sound awesome, especially bouncing off the top section around rocket! HM Shifters are great fun, bang bang bang go the gears lol. More of an in depth write up when i get this laptop charged as its about to go dead!
Oh, and a few pics of the bike all finished... and one of the 2 beasts before first session on saturday..
That looks awesome Craig nice one - sounds like its going pretty well too... bet your looking forward to the up coming season!
Had a chance of a sigma clutch a while back but had no use and did nt really know what i was buying........£300.00 at the time (a bargain i guess) ???? nice bike Craig what championship are you competing in this yr ??
Looks good mate. I like the look of the bigger tank covers. What pads and m/c pump set up are you using?
Few reasons,i like tinkering & building a bike properly, but mainly because i have agreed to buy the mother of all fireblades from a mate, and selling this and buying that free's up a bit of cash to pay for the season and a new motorcross bike, so dont worry chaps im not leaving. Got an irish guy coming at 4pm to take her away hopefully so pics if the potential new beast midweek.
Craig the bike was looking awesome, but I expect the next one will be even more awesome. Can you point me in the right direction to get a big screen like the one on the bike you have sold. Still getting too much air hitting me and vibrating my shoulders. I have a zero gravity corsa atm, but it just isn't high enough and the high honda one is for 08 plus models only and mine is an 06. I think Remal is considering a high one too.
