Friends of mine both bought Chinese fairings (eBay specials), both from different sellers (might or might not be the same manufacturer) however. One set lasted 4 trackdays when it decided to peel itself off the bike and another two sets only lasted 1 trackday each before ripping itself off at around 150mph. Sorry for the crap iPhone pic: Seems due to the low quality plastic used, they simply stress at the mounting points with no flex, and soon as the little crack appears it decides naked it the way forward. Quite dangerous on a track when you realise there is a side fairing coming towards you! They now have decided to spend their hard earned on a set of proper race fairings. There are mixed views on these fairings, yes they are cheap, the paint jobs ain't too bad, the fitment is crap. For road use I'd say they are fine, for track I wouldn't touch them.
You get what you pay for ! I cant believe they peeled of . As you " Dangerous " I won't be buying a set of those then lol
I would ask them to send negative feedback through ebay to these idiots making them. That way other bikers will know not to touch em.They should get a full refund under the sale of goods act.Ebay and paypal would get them their money back. Imagine following your mate and having a fairing hit you.It beggars belief that they can sell these at all!
Totally verify these findings - i removed mine as they were just crumbling into dust and was worried about that ^ exact thing happening! Gone back to OE Repsol and the difference is Superior in every way.
