Mine has been restored today. Last time out on the track bike I had a little unplanned bike/body tarmac interface. This left me with a broken wrist and collarbone. The bike didn't come off badly I thought. Scraped crash bung, broken foot peg and paddock stand bobin. I took the rear wheel off today to put a new tyre on. Where the end of the rear spindle had scraped the ground and been damaged it stripped the thread from the nut as I took it off. I'm booked on a trackday at Snetterton on Monday. Que various expletives. On the off chance I rang a local dealer who said they could have one by Wednesday. I say I need it by Monday, he says hold on. Long story short, one of their mechanics strips his personal race bike of it's spindle and lends it to me. He was even going to let me walk out with even my name and number before I suggested he take my details !!!! Cheers Simon I Love the biker spirit.
Gotta agree with some biker spirit being around !!! I needed some front brake pads for my Blade, The Padgett's van was out with all the racers and they had no stock left. So a mechanic pulled a brand new set of race pads out of a spare race bike gave them to me, and just charged me standard pad price. I was gobsmacked !!! (But happy)
