I'm still in the market for a set, But I checked-out the feedback yesterday, and found this.!! being as there at least £100 cheaper than most other brands I'm begining to wonder, I would like to see a set close up-fitted to a bike. Made from very cheep materials slow delivery / not as described Buyer: Member ID cabby.4 ( Feedback score of 21Yellow star icon for Feedback score between 10 to 49) 23-Jun-11 10:04 Reply by studioreinert2011 (23-Jun-11 20:40): Material is aluminium 7075, it's not cheap....... Honda CBR1000RR (08-11) - VersaStep racing rear sets. (#260788315418)
I'd be interested, havnt took delivery of the bike yet though Will also want to read much more feedback on the bloke
Actually , I've just read the feedback and it's fine, just one guy having a moan but if you look at the listings he says it'll take up to 10 days so I'm guessing he's just being mardy. I want the all black ones please. Is anybody picking this up or should I contact the guy? I deal with suppliers for a living by the way so can help if required (not bike related unfortunately)
Well I've emailed him and asked about warranty, if it's a RTB and if so where that is e.g Italy or UK so ill let you know what he says. In all fairness to the bloke one bad review could be shedding bad light for the wrong reasons , it's hard for newer Cnc bike part manufacturers to make they're mark so cheaper may actually just be because they need to shift units not because they use a cheaper grade of aluminium. Gilles etc your paying for a name and experience, if he gives a warranty and that stands up with the manufacturer I'd be happy to try them at the right price
Anybody can feel free to contact anyone on our behalf, if we can get a better deal elsewhere or whatever then lets go !!
I'll see what he comes back with and Report back, I don't want to step on toes here so who ever initially got in contact with him can carry on, I just wanted to know certain bits We'll get there, I think they look really intuitive, it's a design I've not seen before but the rotating pegs make perfect sense when you think about it, I hope they end up great cos that company could make some serious money I reckon
Actually, I've just engaged my brain and searched a little online and it seems they're made in the UK, even better IMO race products Honda Versastep rearsets
Well being as the group buy didnt pan-out I took a leap of faith and ordered a set myself. I contacted the seller and asked if I can have red centres, Black bodies, and silver pegs, he repied almost stariaght away and said no problem, So I placed my order and expected them to arrive within ten days, nothing happended so I contacted him again and he said he would get it sorted.................seventeen days later I still havent recieved anything, he asked for my phone number so he could contact me, I gave him my mobile and office number, guess what NO call came. I have just emailed him saying he has 24hrs to resolve the situation or I'll be opening a Paypal dispute and leaving negative feedback. So if anyone still wants to place an order beware, the guys a time waster, who hasnt given me a valid reason why they havent turned up
Well another twist, the seller just rang me 21.45pm stating there has been a problem geting the red centres? but they should be with me either tomorrow or Thursday, either way its not really good business practise to keep buyers hanging on for over 17 days and wait untill their threatend with an Ebay dispute and negative feedback untill they inform you of the situation. I'll post up if anything else occurs...........or arrives
I wouldnt mind this sort of thing if the seller could just be a bit more up front instead of making empty promises and then trying the old silent treatment.... nothing worse! grrr Good luck mate!
Oh thank god i read this , Iv been saving to buy a set from the same seller. I think i will give it a miss.
I was thinking the same ut have seen some lads on the US site rave about these - Driven D-Axis Rearsets 08 09 10 11 CBR1000RR Honda I was thinking about getting some, maybe he'll do a deal on a couple of sets, similar design but also have folding pegs
honestly i cant fault the service from SES. i ordered a few spares the other day and they arrived within 48 hours when you ring up you always get to speak to the bloke in the workshop and he will sort you out with a custom set up if you require i want race shift without having to remove the sprocket cover and he is trying to make up some spacers etc. really good service and price
