Weird Cans

    Managed to get out for a bimble around the Marsh today. I picked a 1/2 mile straight between bends, put my phone camera at the side of the road, switched on and got on the bike. Dunno how to edit it , so the the bit between 20 secs and 2.05 mins is OK??? Whadya reckon??? Double click on the piccy!

    I can't tell yet Megs. I daren't turn the speakers on or I'll be busted. I'm supposed to be building a database. I'll have a sken later.

    I used the screen cover to prop it upright, unfortunately it catches the wind pressure when a lorry goes past!!!

    Come up here and try it Al you will soon be an ex camera owner!! How do you glue the front wheel to the ground under acceleration,mine wont do that?

    Went out for a blat today with two mates. Got one of em to hold my phone on Voice recorder while I did a ride by. I now have a new ringtone, but I can't seem to copy it onto here??? It's an amr file ???

    Offered up the RR8 headers to my bike today, got some good news and some bad news. The collars that fit into the exhaust ports are exactly the right size to fit into my RRW head!!! The angle that they come out at is no good though. Gonna take my headers off this week and compare the two sets. I knew I was gonna have to mod them for length and spacing anyway, but now the angle will have to be changed as well! Ho hum:(

    I now have an MOT, so I can recover my sanity and fit a loud exhaust next week. Just bought a load of tube so watch this space?

    The odd thing is... looking at the pictures it's the custom can that looks normal. The standard one looks odd.

    Thanks Ken, I like that comment. Next job is to try a 3" and a 4" can with different bore baffles. May try a pair of slashcuts on one side as well, one longer than the other !!!

    Knocked this together today. I had a 60mm tube welded to a washer, 38mm i/d, 73mm o/d. Made the slashcut outta 3" polished stainless tube, 13" long. added a 10" length of 38mm perforated tube and another washer to the end. Just wedged it all together to see what it looked and sounded like. Whadya reckon?

    Good eh? Got a 4" by 2" version to build , then both of em are off for welding. Will pack this one tomorrow and try it for noise.
