Well after four hours or so of dull grizzly motorway I turned of at scotch corner picked up the a68 which is awesome and the sun came out and the roads dried and I've had 100 miles of bliss....

    ImageUploadedByTapatalk1336150783.341519.jpg 387 miles and counting....

I'll catch up with you guys later when I've found somewhere nice to sleep tonight ;)

Jimbo. Great thread but would it not have been shorter and quicker to scoot up the M11 and A1 to Scotch Corner?

Scotland. Land of the brave where the Lib Dems have been beaten by a Penguin in today elections and the weather forecast is for -6 in the north tonight.

One of my bezzy mates is a Glaswegian and one of the most stand up and loyal guys I know even if he does tend to wear a skirt at every opportunity and travels back home to see Rangers every home game. I only wish I could understand a word he says when he is pissed because I am sure he is quite funny. He worked for us years ago and when he was due to change his car I arranged with transport division to pull in “his new car” with metallic green paintwork, he went ballistic and told them he would rather fcuking hobble with fcuking kneefcuking capped fcuking legs then fcuking drive that fcuking piece of shit. I even got the cctv footage emailed to me, his face was a picture.

Looks like a mid life crisis to me! Carefully on them roads Jimbo like Freedom says -6 and a good frost over all the UK. I was looking forward to a run myself but its not looking good.

Nice lid dude, have fun but ride safely. Just got off the phone to you and Jo says "how come you haven't gone with him" i replied "I was away for four days last week, thought you'd get the arse", she said "don't be daft". Gutted, should have come, although worried Jo's shagging the neighbour or something!

Freedom - I did think that, but google maps saying that was quickest, and giving the damp, grizzly conditions I wanted to go the most consistent and quickest route, wasn't all that bad in the end...

Giv - yeah, it's def chilly today and will be cold tonight, but temps up here are actually warmer than Kent this weekend so fingers crossed....

Just over 430 miles today... Was totally awesome from the a68 onwards, weather cleared up and roads cleared up lovely.

Pulled off the a68 at Melrose and followed the a72 (lovely road following river for about 40 miles) to a place called peebles, lovely old town with highstreet and few pubs etc on the river...

Walked in to a smart looking hotel and got a double room overlooking water 4* for 65 quid and they even let me use their garage!!!

Happy days.... I'm starving, so off to the pub for some grub!
