This was my 4-wheeler until fairly recently. I got rid of it because I was getting sick of the 20-odd mpg considering that I was only really using it to roll to and from work. And because it was a Jap import it would only run on Super. It meant that I was hosing money down the drain for nothing so I replaced it with a boggo Focus. I sometimes regret it until I remember the bills
All that matters Dave is that it's reliable and safe for Karen to drive and it's exactly what she wanted. There's always something gratifying about the smile on their face when they pick you up from the gutter outside the pub and drives you home. That's your gift to them.
These days we have a 1.7cdti Vauxhall Astravan that we got for the dog, when he was around and since stuck with it comes in handy. hopefully a pic of my weekend car, up for sale due to lack of use. every time the sun comes out i tend to use the bikes.
I wouldn't have one these days after having worked for a dealer and watching the quality slowly slide down hill. But back 15 - 20 years spot on.
Picked up new civic 2.2 diesel today, really impressed with it, 150 bhp and £20 a year tax, plenty of gadgets and gizmos too !
I've got an old freelander with the ropey rover petrol engine, that crash, bangs and clunks it's way about the road! Until it falls off or breaks it doesn't get fixed! Got the family wagon of an A4 Avant S-Line TDi, Which i reckon will get changed this year for the 200BHP 2.2l Diesel Mondeo (that has more torque than you will ever need) Oh yeah and i have a 205 GTi rotting away to nothing sitting in my mates field with a roll cage and a set of bucket seats in it!
this is mine, but since buying the bike last year can't justify it, so it's going up for sale shortly
Now that is nice! No way I'll convince Mrs D it's a sensible replacement for the Freelander though...
Got a tuned 370z i use daily that Jimbo reckons is a girls car and a 300 Bhp Mk4 golf I used to show a few years back, I'll get some pics up
Buy a 335d or 330d if u like 3 series the latter is very good on fuel. I run an x5 3.0d with 300bhp averaging at 30mpg.On a run fully loaded with a topbox with the camping gear in, it does better than a 1.6 09 focus with just 2 people in it.over 45mph easily.
