thats not a real repsol is it, the repsol was not released till 09 and it defo did not have a black frame or forks.
aftermarket jobby.... stripes on tank, should also be a small blue flick on the mid fairing underneath the s near the crash bung http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classif.../radius/1500/postcode/s614py/page/2?logcode=p willl throw his jacket in on biketrader!!
Thirded!!! Yes the bike is mine and its £6300 o.n.o What I do find amazing, is the sheer numbers out there for sale with multiple owners but only having done very little mileage ...... makes me wonder! and £4200 for a 58 plate blade? Is it a Cat C?, a race bike? Do tell us more!! Even webuyanybike would give more than that to any seller and we all know how they like to take the p*ss!!!!
Sold my White 08 plate with 1400 miles on it fir £6500 it was like a new bike, the lad who bought it made a balls up with insurance so had to sell it on he got the same money so I'd say it was fairly priced!
I did email the guy, he said it came from factory like that, but knows the repsol was not released till 2009 with a silver frame.. how odd... could that be?
I think you got lucky...or maybe the seller was desperate... I just picked up a RR5 for £3900 - and this was after looking and looking and looking - people just are not budging on there prices..
That is defintely not a genuine Honda Repsol. It might have come from a dealer like that in the same way that dealers get bikes sprayed up as Castol or other replicas to boost sales. It was almost certainly sprayed early in it's life as in 2009 there was a real Repsol and the number of differences on this suggest they hadn't seen a real one so were guessing. I'm sure I've seen a dealer selling an 2012 Blade in Repsol colours somewhere. On this the CBR logo is wrong the REPSOL on the side is too big, the black stripes on the tank are wrong... I could go on.
Its not odd as I never said that in my email to you! What I did say was that I bought the bike brand new from the dealer and it is registered as a repsol on the log book. The bike itself was painted by dream machine Dream Machine Superpaint ;and as I've stated I bought it brand new from Eddy Wright Honda who went under. I had a Part ex offer of £5500 in standard trim but I didn't want another bike for now, so by my reckoning with all the bits on I'm not asking too much am I really??? I've only decided to sell as I thought the money could be put to better use since the birth of my daughter.
