Mr B - so far so good, but I'm on the lookout for some stomp pads, wish I'd done it when I had the Blade. My plums slide into the tank and it causes my wrists to ache.

Raphael - You're on your own with that one mate.

Phantom - Agreed, there isn't a bad one out there today. Although I must say that my Blade was eating batteries - probably because if the pair of HIDs that I put on it - big drain at startup.

Si - that's so weird. I had a test ride of the Factory RSV4 APRC and I also thought the engine was pants. Both Blade and Beemer engines were miles better. It did have an awesome chassis though, proper race bike. Agree that it very small, especially for a 15 stone pie eater like me, so it wasn't the most comfy bike.

neither the BMW, Panigale or ZX10R make anywhere near there supposed figures.

BMW with full system & PC5 your looking at 187, tested on same dyno day as my blade, he then spent just shy of 500 with JT's performance centre and got the magical 199.6BHP.

Kwak, same mods, 185, most one has put out.

Panigale, the britstock one has 179BHP at the rear wheel on FW's mobile BSB dyno.

as for the BMW, i found the brakes shit, and whilst it was busy winding its ridiculously peaky motor up and the suspension tying itself in knots, my blade would be sernely blasting away until it got to silly power range, and by then anyway the blades back in its own territory, corners. ask any BSB or BSB Superstock racer, the blade is THE chassis that everyone rates, indeed your looking at one wiping the floor with everyone in stock thous by the time the year is out.

i have a 2011 blade in superstock spec and i can honestly say where i need a bmw/zx10r and where i DONT! Blade is the most awesome thing i have ever raced for STARTS.. nothing can touch the grunt of it off the line!! i was racing at oulton last sat qualified 8th and just drove straight past everyone off line into lead in first corner.!! zx10rs and bmws are handful off line.. the problems start on the straightaways theres no deniying BMW's are rapid!! but not rapid enough for me to be down hearted i just concentrate on getting of the turns as best i can with 169bhp ... i was considering letting ray stringer do my motor at start of year but mid way through NA dont need it.. oh and second race crashed the shit out of it at island bend so REBUILD in process as we speak... i looked at having a stocker bmw but running costs and buying costs are quite a lot more also.. HONDA= HAPPY
