Oops, I'd better take it back. Don't want to start another 'Busagate. Actually it's a nigh on perfect blend of function and strength. Designed, built and evolved into the perfect machine for going where no others can.......with luggage.... Apart from Defenders.......and Landcruisers...... And helicopters......and Pioneer 10....
I don't know about scratching an itch but that knee slider could really do with some scratching tut tut
Was talking to a mate who has the BMW from new since 2010. Said it's been back to the dealers about 10 times for bits that have broken or stopped work and when I was at aglesey was back again for more work as something on the handlebars stopped working for the 4th time. Still I like them but after the issues with the 2012 S1000RR's with regards to bolts not being tightened enough and massive recall has got me thinking they don't have the build quality of the Blades
The BMW and Kwak are the new breed of 1000cc bike. The 2012 blade was a minor upgrade model and the major upgrade model which inevitably needs to appear needs more useable bhp and torque. As amazing as Blades are, as far as racing goes, they're outdated and slow at the high levels. For the road, i've no idea, but if the racetrack is where you really see what's what, the blade no longer is...
Sorry Bongo the Blade still seems to work at the IoM, Irish road racing, Macua, endurance racing, BSB, WSK and dealers showroom sales.
Well the fitting of the Akra system has cured the urge, much happier now the bike has the sounds to match the looks.
I have to say that the 2012 S1000rr that was at the Ace Cafe of Sunday was 'lush' (except the headlights)
