I bought a brand new 2010 model blade a few months back now, covered 1800 miles, and I do love it dearly. But I'm finding the throttle really snatchy at low speeds on and off the gas in second gear. The roads I'm riding a lot of the time, tight mountain twisties, I'm in 1st, 2nd, 3rd gear just about all of the time, and second pretty much all of the time, and like I said the throttle is real snatchy. I'm making the most concerted effort to be ultra smooth, but still getting a lot of snatch (if only it were the other kind of snatch!) My question is, is this a trait of the blade? are others finding the same issue? Can it be rectified with a PC and a remap? Is there an adjustment that can be made in the throttle somewhere? Not suffered with other bikes to the same extent. Opinions please ladies and gents. Regards Mike
have you changed the can? mine is very smooth, no pc or remapping been done, but my dealer advised me that some need a pc and told me which ones he recommended
I find them very smooth, however engine braking can be a little strong in low gears, to smooth them out I disable the inlet flappers, fit a PC and O2 eliminator and have them remapped, if your riding in the mountains and changing sea levels all the time them splash out a little more on the Autotune to keep your map in trim.
Is the chain adjusted to 30mm slack as per the handbook ? Even if it is just a little over this I find it quite jerky when going on and off the throttle in the lower gears as you describe.
