My bike the day I picked it up 3 weeks ago! My bike a few days ago, the improvements will be coming think and fast once I get back from working away in a few weeks.
Paintwork is a little rough, needs some TLC, tyres are crap and worn in strange ways, chain and sprockets will need changing soon, hand grips heavily worn, I will be fitting a tail light with indicators built in, Nuts and bots throughout the bike are corroded so will be changed to nice anodised ones, front and rear axle bobbins to be fitted (just fitted R&Gs to the engine mounts). The tyres are the priority so it's getting son Bridgstone BT016's (maybe Pros) soon, the rest will be done over time as the budget decrees. I think next winter will allow for a full rebuild and either repaint the fairings or order some after market ones. I bought it for a good price, knowing it needed some TLC and that I wouldn't leave it as it was even if it was in perfect condition.
Had the bike dyno'd today without baffle 168 and 83.5 torque. Had Rizoma rearsets fitted. A few pics of the modded bike. "]http://photobucket.com/albums/ff41/dreamsidealist_2007/blade/"]
Yes Jamie I am, it has been a long journey and a few bob but worth it. According to mark at BSD a standard 06 Blade on average usually makes around 152 bhp on his dyno. With the baffle in, full sytstem, air mods and PC I got 162 and 80 TQ. Baffle out and custom map gave 6bhp and 3 TQ extra. I now have a switch to run between baffle in and baffle out maps, so that.s handy. The rizoma rearsets are nice, very positive (better than the OE) and I like the look of them.
Yep Arthur, good call on the Arata, the reviews were right, they say it gives good gains, the inside of the headers is a work of art. Mark is an Akra man but he said as an engineer he was impressed with the finish and that the insides were better than Akra. I still prefer the look of the Akra though but the Arata looks nice in black.
Its nice mate get some pics up of them headers! I have a mate with a full system on his K6 1000 it's the nuts!
