Had a call to say that the bike is in as of yesterday It's being prepped and I'm having a datatool tracker fitted. Mainly because the fun of actually catching some scrote with my bike if it did get nicked would be worth ten times the cost of the tracker. Decided against a tail tidy at this point as for a while I want it to look as much like the CBR6 as possible. I've also chosen a number plate that is fairly similar.... Its all in the details lol. It's an ABS version so I'm going to live without a hugger until at least the 600 mile service and just see what gets thrown up (planned dry use only anyway.) I'll probably get the suspension set up then too which might make a hugger a safer prospect. Thanks again for all of the welcomes
if you are looking for a suspension guy - mike dawson at md racing is awesome... MD Racing : Ducati Service, tuning, servicing, racing, parts, engine rebuilds, mechanic in Surrey he is a ducati specialist but has worked on loads of bsb and wsb bikes so knows his onions. charges about £50/70 but is worth every penny... transformed my pals gsxr (they need a bit of work imo) and made my blade feel even more refined.
no sweat - we all love trick suspension... but i've seen guys drip their bikes in ohlins before they have even changed to decent rubber or had their suspension set up properly! as much as i like the bling, cant help feel anything more than decent rubber and a set up is more than enough for us mere mortals on the road... track - different story lol
Hiya mate, welcome to the forum. I'm an ex-Blader (and it was black 'cos they are faster) - got a BMW S1000RR now but still stay on this forum because it is a lot of fun. BTW in case anyone hasn't said - pictures, pictures pictures when it arrives. We love a picture even though we have exactly the same bike !! Sad but true.
