Engine rattle.

Hi, As I'm new to the Fireblade I thought I'd see if anyone else has the same issue as me.

My bike is giving a sort of rattle/knock which I feel through the bars when I pull the clutch in to stop at lights etc. I first thought it was something to do with the front brakes but I took it back to the dealer and they assured me they were spot on. They took it for a spin and couldn't feel anything unusual but I'm convinced it's not right. It feels as though it's the engine or clutch rattling as it slows down in revs.

It's an 09 bike and has only done 7500 miles but I'm sure there is something up with it. It doesn't seem to do it every time and sometimes it's worse than others.

Anyone else had this problem? Can anyone shed any light on what it could be so I can get it sorted while it's still under warranty?

Sounds as though your feeling the slipper clutch to me, they all do it bud don't worry.

 

Cheers Tony, it is most noticeable when the clutch is disengaged. Is that normal?

 

Yip, pull it in and quit as a mouse.

 

It's not the issue that the earlier bike have a recall on is it ?

 

Tony, what I mean is it gets worse with the clutch pulled in.

Dan, what was the issue the earlier bikes were recalled for?
