Thanks chaps, it's all cool I just get upset over stupid stuff! I will chat to anyone and advise (if I know) about anything free any time, always love to question about stuff new or old after all I don't know it all and we all have to learn from someone! In my experience it's finding that someone that's the hard part!

You sure I can't tempt you. I've got a Fuji Frontier, an Epson 11880 and, of course, a brace of Cintiq 24's in there...

You ain't riding the blade right then! My mate has one and bits are falling off of it already. Very shoddy workmanship. I've ridden his and it's nice to ride but don't think it makes the blade dull at all !

You are more than welcome to tag along with me on a ride chap or I can come to you and then you can are more than welcome to assess whether I am riding my blade right.

I was not talking about the build quality of the pannigale, it wasnt my bike so i dont really care whether it falls apart or not. I was talking about jumping on it and riding it. My blade is fast but it's boring fast the pannigale is a different kind of animal. The blade is as happy being poodled about town as it is hammering around b roads........the pannigale is not a happy shopper bike it's far more focused and encourages you to ride faster and faster and faster.

well after three years of owning a baby duke 848 I can
say that it def turns faster than the blade I have now but
I did have to get rid of it as I lost my job and my new job
wont cover the two services a year I was having to do.I
had rode an 1198 before the 848 but it didnt feel as good
a road bike, felt more for tracks and open roads rather than
the twisty roads that I use.I had the 848 badges removed
and used to laugh when you left bigger bikes behind and
later they would say them 1098's shift, took pleasure in saying
    no its only a little 848 :D

1199.. An overpriced paperweight. Did anyone see the thread on another forum about ownership?

75% of panigale owners felt lied to (power, weight)

And 60% of new owners have put the bike up for sale within 1000 miles

AstOnishingly, 90% of owners who had 10/1198 previously prefer those over the panigale!

Oh, and it's been battered by the Kwak, Beemer and blade in every group test so far.

If you do buy one, make sure it's supplie with a new, spare, bottom end!!!!

Tbh I have little interest in the 1199 and I know of the problems it has there are lots of nice little ideas on the bike but I would not want to own one at this stage, a mate has the full monty 1199 S Tricolour with full system etc etc etc but he's not impressed with the bike and it will be up for sale soon think its done 1500 miles! he also has a 2012 s1000rr and loves it, but then he did not like his 1198s or the desmo! maybe he's just not a Ducati fan....lol. I will be sticking with my 848 thanks....

lol :) fair point Arthur lol as for buying one........................mmmmmmm Maybe lol

My mate has the 1198 and he loves it.... he test rode the 1199, and his opinion was that the 1199 has lost the low end grunt compaired to his 1198......has anyone else found this to be true?

That's 100% true mate, all the owners inc my mate who works for Ducati have said the same he was very disappointed with his but reckons after spa that he now knows how to get the most from the bike he said you need to keep it in the upper rev range more of the time over the 1198, all I know is if I had one smoke and other issues would worry me rotten! Maybe in time they will revise it and give it back the big twin feel..?
