What do you guys think of this one: 2010 HONDA FIREBLADE CBR 1000 RR HRC PX DUCATI 848 1098 GSXR 1000 YAMAHA R1 | eBay How can I tell that the bike has't been stolen and given a new identity? The seller is not willing to give me the registration number and says: "the bike is HPI clear and a report will be supplied to the new owner."
The only way to go about that is go and have a look at the bike yourself/or someone on here local. Plenty of companies for quick checks that will give you a full report on its history and peace of mind before you have walked around the bike. Edit. I'm sure Barney1 looked at one similar from this same dealer?
Tell him you want to do your own HPI check and will obviously need the bike's details to do that. Maybe he'll give you the chassis and engine numbers?
I bought my bike from him very happy with the bike with clear hpi he sells a lot of cbr 1000rri ,think you will find Barney looked at this bike I know he was looking at a hrc from him not sure if its the same bike.
I like the way he says that was owned by a 60yr old so it must of been ridden well, now I have ridden with people of all ages and basicly if you sit a 60 year old on a blade they turn 21 for a while lol On serious note bike looks clean, go and view it and do a text check, If the plate is removed you can do it from the chassis number and only costs 3 quid. By the sounds of it the bloke has a good rep anyway
He might have used a mirror lens, which gives an odd, paintilly like blurred background. Or a bit of gausian blur or difuse glow to concentrate the eye on the bike but not much else.
Looks like its running on "Racetecs"...............not your usual old timer choise of tread!!,more like" Born again hooligan"
