Ok I have looked! But cant see an answer but what is the Advantage of fitting the 06-07 Rear Shock linkage to my RR5!
According to part numbers the 04/05 shock is a different number than 06/07 so it looks like there is a difference as some other parts are the same numbers between models. According to the dreaded Wicki lol, the rear suspension was revised with new linkage ratios for the 2006/7 models. I do not know if the later suspension is better or not but I am sure someone on here will know.
Haha while they will no dobout be younger i was led to believe they were a HRC part for the RR5 that wer then standard on the 06
I have no first-hand knowledge, but I have seen hundreds of statements that the RR4/5 HRC kit part linkage was adopted as standard for the RR6/7. From that, I could only infer that the RR6/7 standard linkage is in some way superior to the RR4/5 standard linkage... no idea what the actual difference is though, sorry!
Hi folks, don't get much chance due to work to be on here, anyways, have a butchers at this link the rr6 onwards has a different suspension link. Hope this helps. Honda CBR 1000RR - 06 Shock and HRC Link TTFN
