Hi all, Bought an arrow GP for my recently acquired 08. Looking for a more free-flowing air filter before I get the ecu flashed most probably at track electronics. The main contenders seem to be: K&N Pipercross BMC I’ve also seen ‘race’ spec filters all by the same brands around £5-£10 more expensive. I guess these wouldn’t be wise to run on the road as they say ‘track use only’ and wouldn’t filter enough of the road dust out? Want to make the right choice as I’ve heard some aftermarket filters that claim to be more free-flowing actually lose HP. Keen to hear recommendations and what you guys have ran
I have heard good things about sprin filters. Dry filter, easy to clean and permanent although some complaints have been raised about the egde sealing into the airbox is not good I personally have reservation about those that use oil as I have read filer oil can deposit on the MAF/ MAV sensors downstream; also Having experiences K&N once, I found it messy! Could be your engine MAV is not downstream of the filetr
