Ok only thinking this and not always good for eveyone (up in Scotland, and the southern poofs the other side of London) But thinking meet in the middle, say June/July? good weather so not if it's peeing down. Anyone know the area that can recommend a place for food and easy to find with enough room for a few bikers? Just thinking of trying to get people together to meet and put faces to tags etc... Thoughts? it's about 120 miles from me . just thinking of a Sat or sun to meet Any suggestions or thoughts? If we get more interest from people say from the south East we could have a meet lower down. Same goes if we get more intrested from the South west etc....
Not far at all from me I'd attend but I don't know Leicester very well! Loads of the lads when doing a midland meet use Staffordshire or sometimes bassets pole!
it's just a suggestion at the moment. a Good start would be having a recommended place to meet up, get food and catch up
1 of my favourite roads Bats. Love it, that and the road from penrith to ambleside. Can't remember the name of the pass, but the views are pretty damn good
That's the 1 mate, spot on. A bit nadgery at bits but the scenery makes up for it. Going from ambleside up that pass and then onto the hartside pass is a proper good ride out.
There's also a Pass further into the lakes, that I'm sure is the steepest road in Britain. I was going to do this last year in the car but decided to leave it till I had a chance on the bike.
I,m not far from Leicester and would be very much sup for it, but I don't know Leicester at all? There is a place off the A46 we go to on a Tuesday night during the riding season, the beer is fine but not sure about anything else. Large car park?
