Hi All, I have been given a push quickshifter for my 2004 1000rr from a friend (free yipee) The problem is it came of a race bike and is slightlty damaged. One of the wires has come out and Im not sure which pin it should go in??? can anyone take a picture of their quick shifter connenctor for me please? It attatches to a pc3. Thanks, John.
Here For bikes with 8 injectors you need the ignition mod. Think you best read up on the PC3 and shifter before trying it, you can not just run the sensor and a PC3 sorry chap... http://www.powercommander.com/power...ionModule/powercommander_ignition_module.aspx See Note*http://www.powercommander.com/powercommander/Products/QuickShifter/powercommander_quick_shifter.aspx
Ah your Joking Arthur, that means anotther €400 just to get this to work. I dont hink I can afford that.... Would have been cool if it worked but now I am just dissapointed. Thanks for the info.
Yes sorry mate, as far as I know you need the ignition module as killing only four of the 8 injectors is not enough to give a clean kill time to enable the motor to unload the gear box and shift to the next gear... Im not pushing sales but I and Ben here on the forum sell HM Quickshifters one of the best shifters on the market as 1) they cut the ignition system for a clean shift (any that cut fuel are hit and miss) 2) the sensor is a strain gauge and not a switch and can be programmed to shift at the right point and has no moving parts 3) has programable kill times to optimise where in the rev range you wish to shift 4) is stand alone does not need any other electronics to function 5) can be set as push or pull. Also by changing the loom you can use it with a number of bikes. My advice would be give DynoJet a call mate in case something has changed or another option but I'm 99% sure I am correct that's what made the whole thing expensive was the added cost of the ignition module plus the PC3 and sensor!
