I'm thinking about taking out the flapper system on my '12 blade, so what about the electrics? Can I just remove the solenoids and leave the connectors unplugged or does this turn on FI light or something else maybe?
Like sps said above i did this to my 2012 blade with no warning lights. Just remember to either change your air ducts for straight through ones or do what i did and remove the springs then screw the flaps permanently down from underneath. To stop them restricting the air you can remove everything catch tanks and actuators included.
A long screwdriver will pop out the flaps so no rattles when you go over bumps and gaffa tape over the holes left by the vacuum pumps
Is there any decent air duckts that fit nicely with oem fairings? I'm planning to remove the solenoids only and leave the vacuum pumps in place. when there's no vacuum, they keep the flaps open and there's no holes to block. Anyone know the easiest way to remove the canister behind gauge cluster? Taking off the nosecone seems a bit too hard.
Lad just bite the bullet and gut everything, the nose comes off very easily when the intake tubes are out.
