    Hello,

Got a engine in the mail today, and it had gone well through shipping, but i saw that the top mount airbox breather Connection was bent a little bit.

So my question is, i Guess there is a rubber tube that goes from this Mount to the airbox. would just bending it back do the trick? Just clamp the rubber hose good and thight on there.

I see that there is a nut at the bottom, but when i went to the Honda dealer, they said that this could not be ordered seperatly, only With the Whole head cover.

    Any thoughts guys?

Yes it is only a breather, you could just re-shape it and it should be fine.
My only worry would be though looking at the picture is that it has scraped the floor and really popping off the rocker cover might be in order just to check that no debris has found it's way into the engine, they could be grit in the cam area.

    Took the cover off.

And i think the bend actually caused a crack in the surrounding area.

Also tried to bend the tube back, and failed. It is so hard, that it just was to brittle to go back.

Well, what do you guys think?

I am thinking of actually just using the valve cover for my 08 blade. Got this engine to replace my 08 engine, so it should be the same cover, right?

    Yes same cover
The part does un screw and should be BSP pipe thread so getting a replacement should be easy

Yea, but what do you think about the crack underneath the cover then? No crack visable from the outside.

Personally I would replace the rocker cover even if its not visible on the outside for pure peace of mind.
