Hi, What are the drawbacks/positives of 16.5 wheels (track only). Can you still get tyres to fit them. What size should I be searching for? Where do I look? ATB, Iain
So not a good idea to buy a trackbike with 16.5's regardless of the spec? Would changing to 17's require any modifications, would disks and calipers be a straight swap?
16.5" Tyres are still available but not for a great deal longer as they're not used now in mainstream racing so OEM have no reason to carry on production. This is why they're getting cheap to buy as sooner or later they'll be worthless. Can't say about discs but calipers should be OK but specific checking is the only sure fire way.
