    Hi,
Got the 2011 bike last November with 120miles on the clock, even after 4k going into 1st gives a loud crunch which makes me wince, pretty much the same if I go up into second instead, doesnt seem to make much difference if I warm it up first (or at lights on a run) I also work the clutch a few times in case it's sticking, slight improvement. The clutch cable is adjusted as per the Honda manual.

I had a similiar problem even after 20k+ on my ex, a CB1300, if the bikes moving absolutely no problems with the box up or down. Do they all do this or is it indicative of a clutch/selector issue?

    Mike

maybe it might be a different noise but both blades I have owned have had
the loudest first gear selection bangs of all the bikes I have owned.
to the point so car drivers look at you at the lights when you select first.

Clack! If I engage first gear while the engine's still running at fast idle all the Kennedy family ducks.
