Totally agree!! On my SP1s I thought it was the sound/ general shape, but the red is the most stunning characteristic. I have stopped at traffic lights on my SP1 and seen car drivers (of all ages) just look at the bike with their jaw dropped. I want one again so bad.

I could never understand WHY owners got rid of the red to put a minging Castrol paint job on it.

All I remember is on Euro trips and my mate having to refill every 70-80 miles, took us forever to get anywhere, always seemed to overtake the same bloody towed caravan about 3 times a day, even though we always seemed to be travelling in excess of 3 figures .....great noise though.

    70-80 miles!

I take it he never had a power commander on the bike at that rate.
I get on average 100 miles to the tank on mine and it's only used for blasting on my favourite roads. That more than does me.

Big 3 figure numbers on Euro motorways when you did not get nicked very often, except for an expensive pull in Belgium, Switzerland..............you know how it goes

Yea I suppose it would drink a lot doing that for a length of time.

Love mine to bits, especially the punch out of the corners and the fact you have to wrestle it around a bit, but that's what give you the satisfaction afterwards.

I just had a set of Arrows on mine, no power commander etc and used to get about 110-120 miles before my fuel light came on.
