2004 & 2006 swing arm

    Anyone on here know if there is any difference (other than colour) between the rr6 & rr4 swing arm. I was thinking about getting the swing arm powder coated but if it's the same as the newer one I'll just go down that route.

    I believe it's the same mate, the linkage might be slightly different tho

    suspension linkage is different .. but makes no difference 04-05 linkage is interchangeable with the 06-07 ... (i've got an 07 linkage ready to fit on my 04 when i find the time)

    the 06-07 spindle cut outs are 5mm forward.. hence the 06-07 has a 5mm shorter wheel base

    Ah ok so I can go with the whole 06 set up or do a mix and match? Does the shorter wheel base make any difference to the handling?

    I'd expect a shorter wheel base of 5mm would be negligible and you will not notice it but in general a shorter wheel base will allow for sharper handling but less high speed stability. You're highly unlikely to notice it a 5mm though.
