I have an race end can (with baffle) fitted to my 2006 model (unknown what make) but there's bugger all power below 4k which makes negotiating slow corners a bit tricky.

I want to fit a standard end can back on without fitting the servo cables. My question is will it run ok without the cables fitted and will the valve stay open without them?

Just fit the standard end can an don't fit the cables . Lockwire the exhaust valve open .
I did this before I had a full system , it worked very well with a PC3 an K&N filters.

Have you thought about having it dyno'd and possibly remapped to see why it's got no power?

Yes once I get a standard can back on I'll look into getting it on a dyno. Can a standard ecu be remapped?
